Dr. Paw Paw Lip Balms Review

I used to love autumn and winter when I was younger. I still prefer the cold weather, but what it does to my skin is going to lead us to a divorce with irreconcilable differences!

My lips and hands are the biggest victims of this situation, but sometimes I feel the effects on my whole face.

Dr.PAWPAW balms are suitable for the whole family and they have antibacterial and antimicrobial properties.

They are 100% British made products and their formula combines the soothing properties of fermented Pawpaw with other ingredients like Carica Papaya, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Medicinal Grade Petrolatum and Potassium Sorbate to provide various benefits to your skin.

When I received the Dr.PawPaw set of balms I didn’t know what to expect or which of the three would work best for me.

First I tried the peach pink balm on my lips. Pink is my favourite colours, but not on my lips. I wear this one on my eyelids instead of an eyeshadow when I want to have a natural no-makeup makeup look. I wear some liquid, well blended foundation, a little mascara and this balm on my eyes and it gives a very soft highlighting.

Next is the yellow tube. It is the original balm and I’m not surprised that apart from the 25ml packaging it is also available in 200ml tube.

I first tried it as a lip balm, but it is a multi purpose product and I have used it for a lot of purposes.
When I read it can be used as a makeup base I doubted as I thought it would feel sticky. But I have used it several times on my whole face both with and without makeup. Of course it doesn’t have any colour, so it is invisible. It helps my foundation to be applied so smoothly!

I have noticed that when I apply it on my whole face it even helps to fix my eyebrows.

I also like it on my hands as a moisturizer against the dryness caused by the cold weather.

This is a product you need to have in your purse all the time.

Last but not least is the red balm. This one was a great surprise. I never wear red on my lips and I had no idea if I would like this one. Since the day I received this trio, I haven’t used any lipstick on my lips. I wear it even if I don’t wear any makeup as it gives my lips a very natural cherry shade. It looks like my lip colour has been enhanced from the cold weather. When I do wear makeup I also wear a lip pencil underneath the balm to make the colour more intense.

If you are looking for something to keep your sensitive skin satisfied, you should have a try. They worked for me!
The yellow tube is a passe partout that you wouldn’t regret buying!

  1. I got the yellow tube in my monthly Glossy Box. I keep it near me at ALL times! Can’t live without it now. I use it to moisturize hands, on cuticles, elbows, face and lips. I have thick long hair that’s dry, so I even use it on my ends and hairline around face. I use it on neck and décolletage also. I’m sure I’ll find even more uses too! I highly recommend. I guarantee you’ll love it!
