Makeup like a Pro

Makeup is definitely an art that most of us want to master. Want to be able to apply makeup impeccably every time? Search no more because these step-by-step professional skin care tips are sure to make a pro out of you on everything about a flawless makeup.

Moisturize

Always start off with a clean and fresh face. If you have any traces of dead skin or makeup, then make sure to cleanse it off first.

One of the most important makeup tips skincare specialists follow is to moisturize skin and keep it hydrated. So before you apply any makeup, moisturize your face by applying a moisturizer that best suits your skin type. This is extremely important especially during winter because you don’t want your skin to get dry and flaky with makeup.

Foundation or BB Cream

Use a foundation that is light and moisturizing so that it helps your skin from getting too dry or too oily. If you’re doing your makeup for college or office then use a BB cream instead of a foundation because you want to have a natural look that is appropriate for everyday use. BB creams are light but they evenly cover up your imperfections without making your makeup look overdone. Apply it all over your face and leave a little bit on the back of your hand for your forehead which you’ll have to do at the end. Blend it in with a foundation brush. You can also use your finger tips to blend. Use blending and patting motion to sink this product into your skin.

Pressed Powder

The next step is to set your foundation with a pressed powder. Along with a finished look, pressed powder also covers up any section that the foundation didn’t cover. Pressed powders also prevent your makeup from getting cakey.

Contouring

For contouring, you can use a contouring powder instead of foundations or concealers because powders are beginner-friendly, quick and easy plus it gives out the same effect. Use a contouring brush to sketch out where you want to contour and then go back later to blend. Apply the powder on your cheekbones, forehead, on the sides of your nose and under your chin. You also want to apply it on your neck because you don’t want your neck to look different from your face. Make sure to blend enough till you aren’t able to tell where your contour line starts and ends.

Blush

Pink & healthy is the look you get out of a blush on your cheekbone. If you want your blush to last longer than usual, then go for a cream blush. You can take a powder blush of the same color and apply it over for a finished and matte look.

Eye Makeup

You can make your eyes appear big & beautiful with the right eye makeup. Before applying eye shadows, prime your eyes with a nice primer and apply it all over your eyelid. Apply an eye shadow of your choice and make sure it blends evenly into your eye crease. You can use your fingertips to blend into deep creases. Finally, you need to apply eyeliner or a mascara to make your eyes appear big, full and wide awake!

Define your Brows

Fill in your brows with a brow powder if you want them to look bold & defined. You can also take an eyebrow defining eye gel for a little more definition. It keeps them in place and locks in the color of the brow powder as well.
