5 Swimwear Trends to Follow in 2019

Although the Northern Hemisphere is mostly covered in snow, not only is the other half of the world already relishing the beachy summer days, but even for the northerners, the skinny on swimwear trends is of the utmost importance. The reason: summer will be here in a blink of an eye, and there will soon enough be holidays and getaways to get to, cocktails at the beach to enjoy and amazing and trendy swimwear to rock. Instagram will be flooded with pics of summer vacays, so you don’t want to be caught unprepared. You know that one swimsuit for the entire vacation just won’t do, so check out the latest trends and start shopping on time.

The bikini is back

The runways were full of the ‘90s vibes, and of course, this extended to swimwear as well. Tiny little bikinis with triangle tops and tiny stringed bikini bottoms will be all the rage this summer. Of course, not everyone feels comfortable showing this much skin, and let’s face it, those with a larger bust size oftentimes struggle to find a bikini top that fits them well. So, while the bikini may be an amazing blast from the past for some, for others, it simply doesn’t cut it. Worry not, though, as there are still amazing pieces for every body type. This is far from your only option.

A little retro moment

One of our favorite trends is definitely the high-waisted two-piece. The bottoms look incredibly flattering on numerous body types, and they totally evoke those ‘50s and ‘60s vibes. The best part is, the wired cups come in a plethora of sizes so virtually anyone can rock this two-piece. In case you were wondering about the colors, soft yellow is the color to go with, along with the Pantone color of 2019 – Living Coral. Vertical narrow stripes for a slimmer figure are always a big yes, so snag this puppy as soon as you spot it.

The timeless one

Trends come and go, but somehow the one-piece always survives. At present, this type of swimsuit is hotter than ever. We don’t know if it’s because of the entire modest fashion movement or simply because it looks amazing on everyone due to its ability to conceal everything you want to conceal and show off only the luscious curves, but it is very, very loved. As the girls from the land Down Under are already enjoying their summer, one can find a plethora of different one piece swimwear in Australia, so if you can’t find the perfect one anywhere, the Aussies that are ahead of us in the summer department have got you covered.

The experimental one

If you are the type of person who really likes to make a statement with your swimwear, you’ll definitely go with the ultra-colorful, patterned torso cut-out one-piece swimsuit. This one is definitely a show-stopper, as it adds a touch of extra sexiness to the traditional one-piece. However, if you do go for the show-stopper, make sure you don’t wear it all the time. It looks amazing, but the tan lines you’ll get won’t be so flattering when you’re in your birthday suit, so in this case, having a backup is the key.

Minimalism galore

When a brand like Chanel makes swimsuits, they simply cannot be ignored. Although the brand is known for the tweed, and recently PVC boots and hats, the minimalistic vibe is still alive and kicking. The off-the-shoulder one piece is beyond stunning, and the simplicity of the black and white cut diagonally across the torso make it all the more interesting. Of course, you don’t have to wear pants, or a belt, but then again, you’re free to explore trends to your preference; so, if you feel like it, belt up and make the look your own.
