5 Winter Fashion Tips for the Fabulous Fashionista

Winter doesn’t just mean cold weather; the season can be the perfect opportunity to test out your latest wardrobe choices. If you are planning on turning heads this winter, consider some of the following fashion tips that you can take with you wherever you go.

Work in Slender Silhouettes

Baggy clothes are a standard during the winter, so why not break up the visuals with a little bit of slender silhouetting? This is most easily achieved through the use of skinny jeans. If the weather is mild enough, choose skinny jeans and form-fitting sweaters to accentuate your limbs and create a visual contrast between vests and boots. This is especially ideal for women who have had a tummy tuck.

Enjoy the Sweater

While the weather isn’t too cold, you can enjoy the sweater as the centerpiece of your outfit. Choose something nice and baggy and attention-grabbing and see how you can play around with accenting pieces that draw further attention to the presence of the sweater. Cashmere is often the material of choice because of its luxurious texture and decadent warmth during the cold weather months.

Do Not Neglect Headwear

The headwear you choose can make a tremendous statement as well. Everything from beanies to fedoras can be incorporated into an outfit, and you should always try to dress for the weather when it can work well. Hats that leave your ears uncovered are best enjoyed during the early months of winter, when the weather is still manageable. Try to pair earmuffs to keep your ears warm, especially if they can act as a subtle accent.

Use a Statement Coat

The right coat can make all the difference. The coat can make the entire outfit, and with a single central piece in mind, you can allow the rest of your choices to act as the perfect accenting elements to your coat. Pair belts to contrast and boots to match, and see how your coat can turn heads.

Incorporate Different Boots

All types of boots can work during the winter. Some of the most popular options in recent years include over-the-knee boots. These act as statement pieces on their own, and they can elegantly match with all types of coat and legwear options, especially when contrasting colors are used.

Creativity and personality will complete any outfit. Make sure that you choose the pieces that not only suit the season, but also your personal sensibilities. Think about your favorite colors and experiment to see what accessories will really bring out that inner fashion flair.
