Well, while I was browsing online searching for a free pdf editing service a sponsored ad of PDFSimpli popped up. I visited the site and started editing my files and it was required to create a free account. Free sounds FREE, so I created my account.
Next, you finish your editing and you are about to download your documents. And guess what, you need to make a payment to be able to download your work. The amount required was 1,45 euros and I paid for it via PayPal.
Automatic monthly payments without your consent
Suddenly, two weeks later I received a PayPal notification about an automatic payment of 39,95 euros to PDFSimpli. The first thing I did was to go to my PayPal account and stop any new automatic payment to them.

Then I found their Facebook Fanpage to discover that I wasn’t the first person to have to deal with their deceptive tactics. Below you can see some of the reviews of some other deceived consumers who have been their victims like me.

Unfortunately, I didn’t have enough evidence to prove to PayPal that this charge was without my consent. And as you can imagine, I had closed my account on PDFSimpli website and they replied to me that I have closed my account and they can’t refund me. Of course this is a lie, this is how they make money and they don’t return the money they have stolen because they don’t want to.
The founders of PDFSimpli
According to Google, the founders of PDFSimpli are Jordan Iversen and Varun Pathak. Looking at Jordan Iversen’s Facebook profile on Facebook you can see him posing happily with his family. And that makes me wonder, how does he feel every night putting his kids in bed when he knows that he feeds them with money he has stolen from other families?
