Today I told my son that it’s Mother’s Day and I explained to him that I’m celebrating. He went to his room, took his little sailor, put it in a paper bag and gave it to me as a gift!
Lately we have been giving a lot of gifts because of birthdays, namedays and Easter and he’s familiar to the procedure!
When I was a kid, I used to buy my mum a gift for Mother’s Day after church school. There were some gift shops in the neighbourhood then and some of the gifts I remember buying were a porcelain doll, a jewellery box and a teddy bear!
