Donna Karan Cashmere Mist Review

When I was younger and went shopping I didn’t use to spend a lot of money on clothes, but I could easily spend a fortune on perfumes.
The sense of smell is so important for me. Yes, I am the one who smells every bottle of shampoo at the supermarket!

When I was 20 I started looking for the perfect scent. Sometimes when I left work I would visit the nearby cosmetics store and have a relaxing break smelling perfumes and choosing the one that would go home with me, sometimes they were two! That’s a big mistake. There’s no reason to buy two different perfumes together.

I wasn’t lucky enough to find from the beginning my favourite one, but I ended up in this one pretty soon.
One day after I had tried a few on my arms I had to decide which one I liked the most.

I am sure it has also happened to you. You try several scents and then you can’t tell which bottle is the one that smells so nice. Then the shop assistant can be a great help.
In the end I bought Donna Karan Cashmere Mist. In the past I had written a short review of it.

DESCRIPTION

A sheer scent inspired by the feel of cashmere upon a woman’s skin, this fragrance combines Moroccan jasmine, lily of the valley and bergamot with warm undertones of sandalwood, amber and musk.

And now, in my own words. This is a very delicate perfume with powdery scent.
I think it is more suitable for winter, but I used to wear it all year long as it is very soft. I have been wearing it for more than a decade and I even used to keep all the bottles as the design is so beautiful – in general I am not influenced by the appearance of the bottle, the colour maybe as I tend to fall for everything pink.

Within these years I haven’t been faithful at all. The fact that the scent is very weak and can’t smell it a few hours later made me keep looking for similar powdery perfumes with more noticeable scent.

I have bought it many times. The last time was a couple years ago and I still keep the last drops until I buy it again. The last bottle of 30 ml was 44,45 euros.

In spite of its powerless scent, when I used to wear it for a long time some friends had noticed it on me and had characterised it as MY perfume.
Some time a few years ago I smelt it on a cashier while I was paying at a store and asked her if it was Cashemere Mist. I was surprised that I could smell it on somebody else as I thought that others couldn’t smell it on me.

The first time I bought it I thought of combining it with its body lotion, but I was so disappointed that I didn’t like it at all. It was so bad that years later I threw it away without having used it. (If you have tried it, please let me know if you had the same experience)
