DIY: Christmas Decoration With Household Objects

Every year a few weeks before Christmas and the arrival of the new year I like to add new festive decoration in our home. I prefer to make my own creations, so that our decoration is unique and it doesn’t cost much. Here are my Christmas DIY projects so far this year using stuff I had at home, like glass candle holders, Christmas balls and pine cones.

Pastry Delicacy Containers

For the first creation I used a glass bowl and a plastic plate, both old containers from pastry delicacies. I also found a piece of styrofoam from some packaging, cut some pine needles and cones from the yard and some Christmas balls.

I tried different combinations and ended up with gold balls only.

Glass Candleholder

For the next creation a glass candleholder was my inspiration.

Initially, I intended to use this candleholder upside down and place a candle on the top. But I didn’t like it with any of the candles I had available at home. In the end I completed this decoration by putting a little ceramic house matching the one at the bottom.

Mason Jars

Many times I keep the empty jars of jam or honey because they can serve as storage solution or decoration material.

Vases

A vase is another container that can be filled with christmas balls, lights and garland and have some new decor instantly.
