Every age has its grace. Getting older doesn’t mean that you look less beautiful. To the contrary, the older you get the more you realise of your inner beauty and others can see that too. Read below for make up and beauty tips after 35.
Less is better
An advantage of adult life is that by this time you have usually got rid of the annoying acne that worried you as a teenager.
A lot of young girls are used to putting too much make up on their face to cover annoying pimples and this doesn’t only damage their skin, but makes their face look fake too.
Excessive foundation can stress your wrinkles too.
Invest on your skin
If you tend to buy cosmetics that you end up not using, don’t waste your money anymore. Instead of buying eyeshadow palettes and lipstick you will rarely wear, give more emphasis on your skin and invest on a good moisturising cream. Sunscreen is essential too.
Eyes are the mirror of your soul?
If eyes can talk, then my eyes are going to reveal that I don’t get enough sleep and I’m tired most of the time.
Don’t omit an eye cream. I still haven’t figured out if I need to spend a fortune for a really good eye cream.
Even if you are a baby mom, dedicate one minute every day and night to massage your eye area with an eye product.
Do not underestimate your eyebrows
Well shaped eyebrows can make such a difference to your look. After all, they are the frame of your eyes. You should pluck your eyebrows at least once a week to ensure they look neat.
The older we get, our eyebrows end to look less dense. I have the feeling maybe it’s because of overplucking in the past or using bleach or it’s an unavoidable time consequence.
Using a brow liner or an eye shadow can enliven your glance.
Here’s how I shape my eyebrows.
Juice up your lips
Do you have the sense that your lips have lost their freshness? Don’t run to the plastic surgeon! Keep your lips moisturised and give emphasis on them with a lip liner. Enhance their shape and size by drawing an outer line and then fill your whole lips.
Choose a suitable hairstyle
Women break out in their hair a lot. Next time you look in the mirror and you don’t like what you see, why don’t you try a different hairstyle? Consult a professional to find what is the right hairstyle for your face shape .
Be open to change
That you are used to a certain make up routine doesn’t mean you have to stick to it forever. I don’t believe in stereotypes that you need to adjust to your age commands, but you should experiment with different shades and textures. Neutral colours can highlight your features. Or you might want to try a liquid foundation instead of a stick make up.
